Offaly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The illicit cigarettes branded Platinum and Top Gun have an estimated value of over \u20ac1.1 million, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately \u20ac890,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A spokesperson for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishmirror.ie\/all-about\/revenue\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Revenue<\/a>&nbsp;said investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They added: \u201cThese seizures are part of Revenue\u2019s ongoing operations targeting the shadow economy and the supply and sale of illegal tobacco products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on the freephone number 1800 295 295.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than a million cigarettes were seized at an&nbsp;Offaly&nbsp;business.
